Walt Disney World

What can we say about Walt Disney World that you've not already heard!  It really is the headline attraction in the Orlando area and its only minutes away from the Retreat.  We have been to WDW many times ourselves and it's a great experience, especially when you have The Retreat to come home to.  We have found that the "Unofficial Guide to WDW" is a wonderful resource to help you plan your visits there.  Here is a quick map guide to WDW. It is made up of the following attractions:

  20 minutes from The Retreat

• Epcot
  17 minutes from The Retreat

• Disney Hollywood Studios
  15 minutes from The Retreat

• Animal Kingdom
  13 minutes from The Retreat
• Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
  19 minutes from The Retreat
• Blizzard Beach Water Park
  15 minutes from The Retreat
• Downtown Disney
  20 minutes from The Retreat

Universal Studios

Disney's biggest competitor is Universal Studios. More precisely Universal Studios is a direct competitor to Disney Hollywood Studios.  Larger than the latter, Universal boast a wide array movie inspired exhibits and rides. Universal Studios is only 27 minutes from The Retreat. Interesting enough the "Unofficial Guide to WDW" has a section dedicated to Universal.

Driving Instructions:

1. Head west on Blue Horizon Ct toward Sunset Retreat Ct (0.1 mi)
2. Turn right at Sunset Lakes Blvd (177 ft)
3. Turn right at Funie Steed Rd (1.5 mi)
4. Turn left at Formosa Gardens Blvd (0.9 mi)
5. Take the 1st right onto FL-530 E/US-192 E/W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy (2.8 mi)
6. Merge onto I-4 E via the ramp to Orlando (10.0 mi)
7. Take exit 74A for FL-482 W (0.3 mi)
8. Turn left at FL-482 W/W Sand Lake Rd Continue to follow W Sand Lake Rd (0.3 mi)
9. Take the 1st right onto Co Rd 439/Turkey Lake Rd (1.8 mi)
10. Turn right at Universal Studios Plaza (486 ft)
11. Continue onto Production Plaza Destination will be on the left (0.3 mi)

SeaWorld Orlando

SeaWorld Orlando is a marine life based theme park. It presents visitors with a diverse selection of marine life and amusement rides. It is only 19 minutes from The Retreat.

Driving Instructions:

1. Head west on Blue Horizon Ct toward Sunset Retreat Ct (0.1 mi)
2. Turn right at Sunset Lakes Blvd (177 ft)
3. Turn right at Funie Steed Rd (1.5 mi)
4. Turn left at Formosa Gardens Blvd (0.9 mi)
5. Take the 2nd right onto FL-530 E/US-192 E/W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy (2.8 mi)
6. Merge onto I-4 E via the ramp to Orlando (7.1 mi)
7. Take exit 71 toward Sea World (0.4 mi)
8. Turn right at Central Florida Pkwy (0.3 mi)
9. Take the 2nd right onto Sea Harbor Dr (0.2 mi)
